FUNDRAISER FOR SAMERLYN FRYE

For those of you who do not know Samerlyn Frye, she is the wife of Wayne (Roy) Frye, a retired Hanover Sheriff’s Deputy who served Hanover County for over 20 years as a patrol deputy.
Roy’s wife Samerlyn recently suffered a serious stroke on Father’s Day. Samerlyn was recovering well with therapy but in late December Samerlyn unfortunately fell and in the process severely hit her head. Samerlyn incurred a brain bleed from the fall and is now unable to care for herself and requires around the clock care. Roy has since had to quit his job to take care of Samerlyn, significantly impacting their income. During this time, while waiting for medical disability to be approved, the Frye’s home payments and medical treatment bills are coming due.

Roy proudly served his community for over 20 years as a Deputy Sheriff. The Hatcher Cole Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge # 38, was formed, amongst other things, to assist officers and their families in need. We would like to help Samerlyn and Roy during this uncertain time, hopefully helping to alleviate some of their mounting bills.
From now until April 7, the Hatcher Cole Fraternal Order of Police will match the final donation amount, up to $1000.00, donated through our website. We will also pay all fees associated with these donations, so 100% of your donation will be given to Samerlyn and Roy.

Our Foundation is there for our members, as we are committed to ensuring those who are the protectors are protected when in need. Hatcher Cole FOP Lodge #38 members are assured that when an unforeseen emergency occurs the Hatcher Cole FOP Lodge #38 Foundation will be there for them.

Funds raised by our Foundation are used for member benefits and community projects across the county of Hanover. The Hatcher Cole Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #38 Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization and all donations are tax deductible for the donor.
Food Lion and Publix have once again generously donated to the Hatcher Cole FOP Foundation annual holiday meal program.
This year, thanks to both grocery stores, we will be able to help even more needy families with meal assistance during Thanksgiving and Christmas.
